This remarkable kit is quite simply the best thing on long, high and mid altitude cross-country flights that you will ever use! The TrikeBuggy Intuitive Foot Steering System allows you hands-free operation of the steering of your glider with your feet!

After launching, the pilot hooks a clip to the top of each brake from an adjustable cord linked to the front wheel assembly. After adjusting it to the individual glider, they can now release the brakes and control glider turns by pushing the front wheel assembly in the direction they want to turn.

Intuitive or Aircraft
The Foot Steering System can be attached in either the Intuitive or Aircraft configuration, depending on the preference of the pilot.

Totally Intuitive
The TrikeBuggy Intuitive Foot Steering System is just that - an incredibly natural sensation in flight! As easy as looking the direction in which you want to fly, you simply aim the front tire towards your desired flight path, and the glider gently, yet decidedly obeys. Now your hands are free to take pictures, shoot video, unwrap a Cliff Bar, set your GPS, talk to your buddies or simply warm them in your lap! If your throttle has a cruise control, or you use a foot throttle, you can simply relax and enjoy the magic of flying your TrikeBuggy!

Aircraft Control
Pilots wanting a Foot-Steering System with typical aircraft control can attach the System to simulate direct control similar to that of standard aircraft. This makes the transition from PPC's and other aircraft very easy, and gives the same results they have come to know - push out on the right foot to turn right, push out on the left foot to turn left. Now pilots can feel right at home on the TrikeBuggy!

Smooth Operator
A huge benefit of this system is the fact that if adjusted properly, there is simply no chance of overcontrolling, spinning or stalling the paraglider during it's use. The throw is just too short to produce a steep turn or enough brake travel to stall the wing. The system gently turns the wing in the direction of the front tire, perfect for those long flights where your hands lose their feeling from reaching up so high.

Give Me A Brake
Another nice thing this system does is situate the brakes in the position where you would have your hands if you were using them. Again, if properly adjusted, they will keep the toggles at the point where there is just a pound or two of pressure on the trailing edge of the glider. This usually keeps the handles near the pilot's ears, depending on where the pilot has adjusted his brake toggles. This is a very different position than if you simply let go of the brakes, and they go all the way up to the brake pulley on the risers. You can easily just grip the brakes and use them normally any time you want.

Beginnings & Endings
The only challenge to using this system is pushing up on the A risers to inflate the glider, but if you use our TrikeBuggy A-Assists to bring your glider overhead, these can be hooked up before you even launch! Just make sure they are adjusted loose before launching, and use the brake toggles to balance the taxi run. Landing is no problem with the Intuitive Foot Steering System, since we have full travel of the brake toggles downward. You can flare in the normal way with it hooked up, and you can even taxi and launch again.

Right for Me?
This system is NOT good for low flying, where you are in close priximity to objects or the ground. We would also warn that while this system is not complex or difficult to use or adjust, we recommend it for experienced pilots only, capable of understanding where the spin or stall point is in relation to their glider. For new pilots, there is simply no substitute for "hands on" operation until you understand flight characeristics of modern paragliders completely.

A TrikeBuggy Exclusive!
This system is made for the TrikeBuggy only - Other trikes have free swinging harnesses, or attachment systems that change the geometry of the trike & pilot once in flight. They do not allow this system to be effective or even safe to use because they do not have the same positive framework and seat support that the TrikeBuggy has.

Trike flying is an extremely demanding sport requiring exceptional levels of attention, judgment, maturity and self discipline. It is unlikely that you will be able to participate in it safely unless you make a conscious and continual commitment to your own safety. PPG and Hang Glider Trike flying is a dangerous sport and may result in injury and death even when practiced by a competent pilot using proper equipment. TrikeBuggies are not covered by product liability insurance, nor have they been designed, manufactured or tested to any federal or state government airworthiness standards or regulations. Do not fly them unless you are willing to assume personally all risks in the sport of Trike flying, and all responsibility for any property damage, injury, or death which may result from your use of this TrikeBuggy. Safe operation of the TrikeBuggy requires a pilot proficiency equivalent to that of a BFI (Basic Flight Instructor), as well as an equivalent level of knowledge and understanding of those wind and weather conditions which may compromise the pilot's safe control of the TrikeBuggy. In particular, be advised that gusty winds or turbulent conditions may interfere with even an expert pilot's ability to safely control the TrikeBuggy, and may cause it to crash.
