 California Valley & Simmler, CAThe California Valley is one of our "secret" flying spots, simply because we do not want to overuse this beautiful area and become unwelcome. We are landowners here, and want to stay in the good graces of our neighbors. To the south of our flying field is Soda Lake and the Carrizzo Plain, a National Monument where we cannot fly. However, we can fly to the ranges to the east and west, as well as to Soda Lake. This area is considered "grasslands" and is perfect for PPG, TrikeBuggy Para and Delta flying. The San Andreas Fault runs along the foothills to the east of camp, and the zipper-like scar on the terrain is fascinating to fly over.
